Inverse Colour Illusion

The images constructed in this tutorial illustrate the way in which our visual system adapts to the presence of continuous fields of colour, such that – when these are removed – we appear to see the opposite (in a colour-wheel sense) colour, the pairings being blue/orange, purple/yellow, green/magenta, red/cyan. This resource is for teachers, parents and carers to use in Sciences (SCN 1-12b / SCN 2-11b / SCN 2-12b / SCN 3-12a) for First / Second / Third (P2 – S3).
