Lightning Strikes

Lightning Strikes

It is amazing what pops up on news feeds when we have a weather event. There is a website that tracks lightning strikes in various parts of the world. I still need to look in more detail at how the data is gathered but this might be a good project for some of our learners.  This week in Scotland, around the Edinburgh area, we experience thunder and lightning of an intensity that most have not seen in their lifetime. The heavy rain that came alongside the storm caused extensive flooding and sadly, some lives were lost. Perhaps another sign of the climate challenge?
