Moray House Schools Online Conversations – 27th May 2020

Join Shana Ferguson and colleagues to hear more about the experiences of educators in the USA during lockdown. Discussion will include:

  • how we’ve dealt with getting tech out to all students from kindergarten through seniors in high schools
  • the tech applications we’re using the most, how we support teachers in using new applications, etc. (which includes some of the typical US disregard for data and privacy followed by the realization that we’ve had to set up guidelines)
  • lesson/instructional design and how teachers are creating flexible/flipped classrooms so kids can work asynchronously
  • grading and what regulations our state has come up with to not hold kids harmless
  • efforts to support low income families and the emotional needs of students

You can also join our mailing list to hear all about us!

The School of Divinity is committed to offering support for the teaching of Religious and Moral Education (RME) / Religious, Moral, & Philosophical Studies (RMPS) in Scottish schools. We run a series of visit-days for pupils and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) events for teachers, in which colleagues share their expertise in accessible formats relevant to the Scottish curriculum. We are also developing free resources for use in schools, and these can be accessed below.
